On September 18, 2020 the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea held an online conference with the Administration of the Ulyanovsk region and managers of export-oriented companies of the Region in a format of “An Hour with Trade Representative”.

Trade representative, Alexander Masaltsev, as well as experts of the Trade Representation discussed with the Ulyanovsk Region companies the issues of Russian food, agricultural, pharmaceutical products, as well as IT products’ entry to the market of the Republic of Korea. On behalf of the Government of the Ulyanovsk region, the Deputy Chairman of the Government – Official Representative of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region in the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Rumyantsev made an opening speech.

During the videoconference, the employees of the Trade Representation informed the participants about the specifics of the South Korean market, the ways to promote Russian production, the process of tender and customs procedures, current restrictions and import duties.

Besides, the main activities of the Trade Representation, including supporting measures of Russian exporters, as well as “story of success” of Russian companies, whose products are already present in the market of the Republic of Korea were explained for the business of the Ulyanovsk region

           At the end of the videoconference, the Trade Representation experts answered questions regarding participation in government tenders, the export of confectionery products, as well as the demands of the Korean market for Russian-made diagnostic reagents. In addition, it was agreed to continue further cooperation.

Besides the representatives of regional executive authorities and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, such companies as OGBU “Agency of the development of rural area of Ulyanovsk Region”, “Ribnii Kray Dimitrovgrad” Llc., “Agricultural Production Cooperative Perlotto” Llc, IP KFX  Glebova E.V. , “Simbirsoft” Llc, Mad Brains, Testgen and Heatlab company took part in online discussion.
