As the epidemiological situation in the Republic of Korea (ROK) normalizes, work to expand and stimulate Russian-South Korean trade and economic cooperation is intensifying. This week, employees of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation met with representatives of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Korean Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). They discussed organization of joint events in the field of international trade and economic cooperation, as well as the prospects for bilateral interaction in the post-COVID period.
During a meeting with representatives of KITA on October 14, 2020, the parties shared their views on promising areas of bilateral trade and opportunities for expanding it within the framework of contacts between the Association and a number of Russian companies with the assistance of the Trade Representation.
At a meeting with representatives of KOTRA on October 15, 2020, issues of organizing the Forum of Korea-China-Russia Economic Cooperation in the post-COVID period were discussed.
In the course of the conversations with the representatives of both South Korean organizations, the parties confirmed the intension to further qualitatively strengthen and diversify bilateral trade and economic cooperation and to raise it to a new level.
