On August 19, the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea, Alexander Masaltsev, took part in a working meeting (in the online format) with the heads of the Export Support Centers of the Far Eastern Federal District and Trade Representations of the Russian Federation in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region with the participation of foreign representatives of REC JSC.
Oleg Barmichev, Director of the Department of Foreign Trade Regulation and Development of the Trade Representation System of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, heads of specialized departments of local governments, representatives of Regional Export Support Centers, businessmen of the Amur Region, Republic of Buryatia, Sakhalin Region, Khabarovsk Region and the Republic of Sakha attended the event.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform representatives of Russian businesses about possible measures of support from REC JSC and Trade Representatives while entering the markets of the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to explain the ways of interaction in the field of promoting Russian-made products and services.
Alexander Masaltsev in his speech during the event briefed Russian exporters regarding the specifics of working in the Republic of Korea, issues of organizing a business mission for companies of the Russian Far East, the prospects of export of agricultural products from the Amur Region and inbound tourism to Russia for South Korean citizens.
As a result of the meeting it was agreed to continue cooperation aimed at practical results in the field of export of goods and services of Russian companies from the Far Eastern region.
