On April 22, the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea together with the Government of Yaroslavl Region held an online meeting with representatives of export-oriented companies of the region. Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea Alexander Masaltsev and Advisor to the Director of the Department of Regional Development and Foreign Economic Activities of Yaroslavl Region Aleksei Travkin took part in the online conference.
The agenda of the meeting included the issues the South Korean market entry for goods and services of regional companies. During the event were discussed the prospects for the export of stationery and office supplies and paints, products of timber industry, electrical electronics, fire extinguishers, plastic packaging, afterburners for waste processing, pipeline fittings, house kits, medical equipment and IT products. During the discussion, the attention was also paid to the procedure of customs clearance, certification and licensing of Russian products in the Republic of Korea. Participants of the meeting attentively discussed the measures necessary for enhancing of software exports and the possibility of localizing green technologies. Special attention was paid to the matter of attracting Korean investment to Yaroslavl Region and the prospects of production localization of Korean companies in the sites of region’s companies.
