On the 25th of August The Trade Representation of The Russian Federation together with the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) jointly held a practical session-discussion “Potential and perspectives for the development of Russia-Republic of Korea cooperation within the International Medical Cluster in the Russian Far East”.
Alexander Masaltsev, the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Project for establishing the International Medical Cluster on the territory of the Russian Far East became the main agenda of discussion. Participants exchanged opinions on such aspects as legal regulations of medical activities in the Russian Federation for foreign companies, recognition of medical licenses of Korean doctors, certification and registration of Korean medical equipment and medicines as well as other legal aspects.
Representatives of the Seoul National University Bundang Hospital shared their experience of participating in the international medical cluster on the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center (a project of organizing Smart Hospital).
The participants agreed to continue the dialogue at the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 2-4th in Vladivostok, as well as through regular meetings to discuss topical problems of the implementation of joint Russian-South Korean projects in the field of healthcare and the participation of Korean partners in the project of an international medical cluster in the territory of the Russian Far East.
