Rostelecom, the largest Russian integrated provider of digital services and solutions, and Naretrends Inc., one of the leading farming companies in the Republic of Korea, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in information and communication technologies (ICT) in agriculture. The parties agreed to study the possibilities of developing ICT in the field of the agro-industrial complex for the subsequent contract conclusion.

The Memorandum defines a wide range of joint activities. The parties will take part in the preparation of project for the development of smart agriculture using management and monitoring systems, as well as data analysis based on ICT technologies, Internet of things, smart sensors and platform for intelligent processing of big data. It is expected to create an infrastructure for the introduction of precision farming technologies with automatic control of greenhouses ("smart farm") in Russia.

In future, it is planned to develop a software solution for assessing and modeling the development of agricultural crops using stream data processing. The parties will work on data processing for situational monitoring. The information acquired will be applied in formulating predictive models using machine learning and Big Data technologies.

Another area of ​​activity is the creation of information systems for collecting data in the field of agriculture to form a single digital space, which will help to change business processes of production and management.

Naretrends will be engaged in interaction with customers, development of solutions and coordination of pre-sale processes with Rostelecom, participation in the implementation of ICT solutions. Rostelecom will provide technical support, as well as perform specific tasks at the stage of project implementation.
